With a busy schedule visiting the major shopping malls, endless FOOD spree at the night markets, a tour at Taipei 101, we decided to also visit the Taipei Zoo the following day! If you’re one animal lover and enjoy moments getting close to nature, this is a place worth visiting.
The Taipei Zoo (Chinese: 臺北市立動物園), sometimes referred to as the "Muzha Zoo" (木柵動物園), is situated at Taipei City in Taiwan. It is the most famous and a leading zoological garden in Taiwan in terms of the efforts on recreation, conservation, research and education. The zoo is huge and you would need to spend a half day tour to cover the wide area.
The total area of the zoo is 165 hectares, with 90 hectares open to the public with six main buildings:
- Education Center
- Nocturnal Animal House
- Penguin House
- Koala House,
- Amphibian and Reptile House (Insectarium)
- Formosan Animal Area
- Children’s Zoo
- Asian Tropical Rainforests Animal Area
- Desert Animal Area
- Australian Animal Area
- African Animal Area
- Bird World
- Temperate Zone Animal Area
The ticket price for entry was NT$60, so that was about RM 6 which was pretty reasonable! The zoo was packed on a Sunday as we headed there after breakfast and was soon drowned with the crowd as we hit mid morning about 11am. GOSH and it was sooooo HOT!
The first bird species I saw... Pink Flamingoes....
Ok more photo upon entering! Quick quick quick.. so darn hot!
Cute and adorable looking booths selling FOOD and drinks and souvenirs... What else? I grabbed myself a Taiwan sausage again! Super yum!

The Taiwan sausages!
Posing and I'm one happy girl! I had one and one more upon exit in the evening! LOL! :P
Juicy! Slurrrppp!
Ok anyway as we walked along, we stopped by at the Koala Conservation Centre to meet the cute koalas! I saw and carried one before in Australia!
This is Patrick! Say hello people! :P Koala bears does nothing except eat, sleep and poo! :P

More photos!
The photographer of the day! :)
Where is the animal oh???? I guess sleeping?
Camwhore again! LOL! :P Best way to kill time! :P
Peeps any idea what are these called?
Say hello to the monkey who enjoys posing! HAHA!

More monkeys....
The elephant section!

Tiger having a nice afternoon nap!

Me and the Fox!
Me and panda! I love pandas!

A visit to the reptiles and amphibian house.... definitely not to my liking... I'm scared of insects, frogs, snacks and etc! not my type and they aren't cute looking at all! hmmpp!

Finally stopped for a quick lunch at some cafe in the zoo.... It was packed and everyone was looking for a table! :( The service was terrible and we were standing there in line and no one was asking our order! gosh... I nearly screamed myself out but dearie calmed me down... :)
The worst spaghetti ever! Come on I can even cook better spaghetti than this... seriously it was horrible and diluted!
Dearie had the grilled chicken with rice set which was rather edible but nothing great! Way better than mine! By then I was hungry and hungry people are angry people! :P Ok up next more FOOD and places we visited... Stay tune! :)
